Algerians women flash the V for victory to celebrate along with other supporters the re-election of Algeria's President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on April 10, 2009. Bouteflika, a 72-year-old strongman who changed the former French colony's constitution to allow himself a third run at the presidency, won with 90.24 percent of votes cast in the oil-exporting north African nation. However, even before the results had been announced, the opposition candidates said the election had been marred by voter intimidation and disputed the 74.54 percent turnout figure given by state radio. Placard on the car reads ' For a strong and seren Algeria'.
