Politiques D'aménagement Et De Développement Pastoraux à Tébessa. Les Causes De Leurs échecs

The steppe ecosystem has long been protected by a synchronism between the agro-pastors and the space in which they live. Agro-pastoral practices ensured a certain balance, allowing natural resources to regenerate. New unusual practices have emerged in this nomadic society. Aggravated by edaphic-climatic conditions, these modifications have destabilized this fragile environment. Aware of the importance of this environment, a few years after independence, the government wanted through multiple reforms, projects and development programs, to fight desertification, preserve the pastoral spaces, and keep the inhabitants of these regions in place by improving their social and financial conditions. This article summarizes these projects and development programs from 1970 to 2010.
