A worker monitors the Krechba gas plant on the In Salah gas field in Algeria's Sahara Desert, some 1,200 kilometers (720 miles) south of the capital, Algiers, Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008. The gas field in the Sahara Desert is seeking to set a global environmental example with a project to bury carbon dioxide instead of spewing it into the atmosphere.
