The latest, double truck bombings Dec. 11 on a United Nations building and an institute that is a symbol of the state, plunged this nation into a new reality, just as it was rising from more than a dozen years of a brutal Islamic insurgency: terror remains undefeated and a new brand with an international label, al-Qaida, has emerged, attracting youths like Nabil.
